Yeah, I said "...to meet a new ferret"

I really did go with a "we'll see what we see" open mind. I wasn't positive we'd adopt this fellow. Yeah, I can hear you all chuckling to yourselves. Whatever. *grin*

So we came home with a five-year old intact male who has gone by the name of "Tiny" for all that time. That's definitely one thing he isn't! And we name our ferrets more like people than descriptions, which the previous owner was okay with. I'm very honored that his mom felt we would be a good family for him---it's hard enough when life throws curve balls and you have to do what's best for your beloved pets! You don't need some snobby shelter person telling you how you wouldn't give up your kids. So, I'm really glad we are in a position to take in this large, lovable fellow.

Oh. You wanna see? Well, it's a good thing I took some pictures then! These are after his first bath. I used the same Suave lavender Randy and I use, so he smells a little more like "Mom and Dad" to the rest of the ferrets, during their "getting to know you" phase.

This boy has hardly slowed down since he dried off, so that's the best face picture so far. Here's one with him next to Lazarus for a sense of size:

That's still not really great 'cause Lazarus is kinda in "wary mode" there. Here's a closer look at him while wrestling with Horatio:

I can tell already I'm going to have to tucker this fellow out to get him to stand/sit/lie still long enough for a picture! Oh, and his new name?

Gabriel. *smile*
