BookMooch

I've been going through my library, gleaning the books I hate, the ones I've managed to purchase twice, and the ones handed to me by Mom. I've taken in a bunch to Bookman's and already spent all the credits I earned doing that.

But I did something new yesterday. I put the books Bookman's didn't want up on BookMooch. I've already got packages ready to go for 8 of the books I've listed. And I've already got a book on its way to me.

The one place where I suspect BookMooch will fail is in books which are valuable because they're out of print and rare(r). For example, Knitting Lace: A Workshop with Patterns and Projects hasn't been available on abebooks.com for less than $100 since I started looking for it earlier this year. Yet on BookMooch, anyone adding this to their inventory still only receives 1/10 of a credit for it---like any other book.

I could *wish* hardback books (which cost more in "real money") could earn me more for adding (and cost me more to mooch), but that's not as big of a concern as the rarer books which are much more valuable if sold.

Anyway, I'm going to give this BookMooch thing a try, so here's 10 random books from my inventory:

I'm trying to reduce the scripty-things I put on the side-bars (which load on every page, so if you want to see an update to this, just look for "bookmooch" in my tag cloud on the right and this post will pop up. Reload for a different random selection. *grin*
