Finished another project! Wheeee!

I'm so excited at how this blanket turned out. I used Blue Sky Alpaca's Eyelet Baby Blanket, with a couple minor modifications. The first was to go down to a size 9 needle. The second was to do a total of 12 eyelet rows, to get the blanket more square. I used Elmore-Pisgah's Peaches'n'Creme, which will be snuggly enough for an Arizona baby!

I'm not exactly sure why the first fifteen rows or so pooled so much and then after that it stopped. Perhaps the eyelet YO was enough to shift the color changes?

I think it's more visible from this angle. Ah, well. Randy thinks the center square looks like clouds. He's so sweet. I've started the teddy bear (which will be Baby Bobbi Bear) in the same beige as the ruffle. And I think the Baby Bobbi Bulky Sweater in the same Shaded Denim as the center of the blanket would be adorable!

I'm still working on the Baby Kimono, in one of the old-style handpainted ombre shades from Elmore-Pisgah. I wonder if I could size this kimono down to Baby Bobbi's size? Would that be over-the-top cute?

In between all this cute baby knitting, I'm working on the center panel for Mom's shawl, in the bottle green Jaggerspun Zephyr. I've got to test the pattern and see if the circles come out as circles or as ovals. If I'm good, then I'll cast on in the yarn dyed by Susie of Perchance to Knit. I still need to photograph the yarn for that and add it to my Ravelry stash.

I'm expecting a mega-load of laceweight yarns here in the future from a swap/destashing I arranged with another Raveler. She discovered she didn't like working in laceweight, after stashing a boatload of lace. I discovered I'd rather spend the limited amount of time I leave for sock knitting working on yarns I love (and yarns that get the Randy-love!), so I destashed all my KnitPicks Memories and Essentials, and various other brands which I doubted I'd ever put on high priority 'cause of the yummy indie-dyers I have.

My lace blocking wires arrived last week and I still haven't made time to block out the Spring Mystery Shawl, which GoddessKnits has named Ostara. I really need to, so I can take some final pictures of it and then, maybe, actually use it!

It has also come to my attention that I've never really linked in photos of the house we're living in. So I'm going to work up another post which does that, hopefully with some newer photos of a more cleaned-up and unpacked house!

It is SO beautiful, Anne.

I don't know how I missed this post, but the blanket is gorgeous. I cannot believe you made it with your own hands. You can probably believe I cannot believe it after seeing my attempt at knitting - ha!! :)

I'm tickled you like it!

I can't believe how *fast* it knitted up! I would honestly look down and be surprised to see how much it had grown during an episode of Jericho or Carnivale. Now, to finish the teddy bear...

Love the blankie!!
