Denise Needle Set Give-Away!
Okay, here's how this is going to go. I've got a set of unused, brand-new Denise Interchangeable Needles. I don't want them. They cost me $50, but I'd like to do something nicer than just sell them.
Here's where you come in. Leave me a comment with a brief essay on why the person you are suggesting is deserving of my Denise needles. Since I'm a writer, I'm not going to make a "random drawing" decision. I'm going to actually read your answers and decide which one I think is best. What makes a "best" essay? We'll find out together.
The deadline? Hmmm... It's already November 27th and I'll bet the lucky candidate would love them for Christmas, so let's say the Entry Deadline is the 15th of December. I'll make my decision over the weekend of the 16/17th and announce a winner on the 18th. Make sure your entry includes a way for me to contact you for information on sending to your candidate.
Can you suggest yourself? I don't see why not, if you feel you are "deserving". *grin*
If you are a friend, spouse, significant other, or family member of a knitter who has not-so-subtly pointed you here, do consider entering. I've put no fees on this contest---just your time and mine. Don't know what a Denise Interchangeable Needle Set is? Take a look here.
I'll be honest, mine are up for grabs because I found the (only slightly more expensive) KnitPicks Options. Each knitter has different preferences though, so there may be some knitters out there who are eager for my set.
Why am I doing this (instead of selling my set)? Recently, I was gifted with a number of books from another knitter from the Knitty Coffeeshop. She only asked that if I didn't like the books, that I pass them on. Well, I *love* getting new books, but I still want to "pay it forward".
So, enter yourselves, enter friends, lovers or even enemies (it's a great way to keep them guessing!). Just help me rid my shelf of this set!
That's all for now.
Oh, wait....if you were really set on giving me some money, check out the small selection of handcrafted jewelry I have over at Etsy.com. *smile*
