So, my last post referenced Friday's Barnes & Noble shopping spree. I wrote on Friday about our frustration with American Express and the cashing in of many points. *grin*

Well, the fun began after dinner Friday night, despite my broken toe. I went, armed with my wishlist which contained books on knitting, science fiction, Asperger's, aquariums and more. I started with knitting books, filled up a basket and asked them to hold it behind the counter while I continued shopping.

Aside: I get that reading isn't all that popular anymore, but why don't bookstores provide carts, to encourage people to buy more books? Books are heavy, guys! Wise up!

I filled basket number two with science fiction, a couple books on Asperger's and finally sat down (after asking an associate to bring me the rest of my books, please. You can bet I played up that broken toe for a little extra help!)

I flipped through a couple of the knitting books and decided against them (at least for now). Sure Knitting Beyond the Edge is a cool book... but will I ever use what's in it? It didn't seem likely right now. I never even pulled Knitting Over the Edge off the very high shelf it was displayed on. Hmph. Stitchionary 1 went back on the shelf too, after I flipped through it.

"What made the cut?" You ask.

Yes, that's a lot of books! Nick picked up one book as well. Randy bought some music and a DVD. Then... we came home and got on BN.com and ordered some books we never see in the store. I'll save those for another post (after they're actually here!).

Back to the design table... Composing this post was a longer break than I'd planned on. *grin*

ETA: Corrected the obnoxious width. Also, must brag a little... I figured out how to modify the image location of an Amazon.com image to remove the "Look Inside" graphic! How cool is that? I'm quite pleased with myself....
